There’s nothing worse than someone with yellow teeth, whether it’s from not cleaning them, smoking or drinking sugary drinks… it’s a turn-off! Well… for me anyway, and I know I’m not alone in this. A pearly, white smile is the biggest winner in my books and it makes you feel so much more confident as well. I’ve tried some of these products and hacks before and they really do work, so give them a try and let me know what you think!
Strawbs & Baking Soda:
This trick I learnt from Huda Beauty and it really does work. Mash up a strawberry and mix it with a teaspoon of baking soda. Once nicely mixed, dip your toothbrush in it and gently brush your teeth with it. The combination of malic acid and vitamin C removes stains and brightens the teeth for a noticeable difference. A tip for those hunnies on a budget!
This is a well-known technique among beauty guru’s on the web. It basically entails swishing a tablespoon of coconut oil around your mouth for about 20 minutes. It may sound odd and not very nice but afterwards, your mouth will feel super clean and your teeth will look so shiny. It’s an ancient technique which works to draw out bacteria from your teeth and gums (the fatty cell in bacteria is attracted to the fatty component of coconut oil), and it also completely neutralizes your breath, so it’s a good thing to do once a month.
Switch it up!
An obvious tip here but changing your toothpaste regularly can also help with keeping your teeth nice and white. I mean obviously if you have really sensitive teeth don’t veer too far from what you prefer but changing it regularly helps as your teeth get used to said toothpaste and sort of stops working!
Superdrug’s Charcoal Toothpaste:
Retailing at £2.49 it’s definitely worth buying, I’ve recently purchased this toothpaste after a friend who works at the store recommended and although you do look like a pirate when you’re using it the results are amazing. The charcoal helps to remove stains and is great for sensitive teeth like mine.
I hope that some of these tips work and help you as they definitely worked for me!
